Red fox are born in late March to early April. The male will bring food to the vixen or baby fox for a few days after the pups are born and then both parents will bring food to the den. However, the male has not been seen with this family. Pictured here is the female and her four pups; they have enjoyed a diet of frogs, birds, squirrels and rabbits. The pups will leave the parents to hunt on their own in the fall.
