Moose calves take over a week to imprint to their mother. Imprinting is the stage in which the newborn learns who it is and whom is its
mother. During this time, the calf will follow just about anything that moves. While following a bull bison, this calf suffered minor injuries
from the bison. Look for moose around willow patches and shallow ponds, but be carefull cow moose are very protective of their young.
