Trumpeter Swan:

This is one of over a thousand trumpeter swans that can be seen on the Mississippi River. Trumpeter Swans should not be confused with the exotic Mute swan. The Trumpeter has a black bill as seen in the photo. The non-native has a orange bill except for the black base near the face.
