Two species of weasel can be seen darting through sagebrush, fallen logs, and rock piles chasing their prey of mice and voles,. Both weasels have a black tipped tail, but it is the slightly larger long tailed weasel that has the tawny colored belly. The short tailed weasel has a snowy white under side.
